Dartmoor Pony

The frost frost of the year. I was taking a photograph of Postbridge when the light had got too harsh for landscape photography. I saw this dartmoor pony roaming the fields a few hundred metres away. I lay down in the apparently unfrozen bog with my body now soaked. The pony strolled casually towards me as I tried repeatedly to focus on it's eye as it approached me. Before I knew it, it had licked my lens, eaten my camera bag throwing my equipment it into the mud, and taken a chunk out of my calf. It may look friendly and an easy enough photograph to achieve, but photographs lie!
