Old Beggar's Hand

I saw this beggar in the streets of Hong Kong, he had a walking stick and a hunched back. He roamed the streets with his hand out begging for change. I quickly took a shot of his hand as he went past me. There are many ways to interpret this image, the photographer can only direct the viewer so far. Some say it represents ‘world poverty’ others say it represents the power relations between the rich and poor by the action of surrendering and relying on the wealthy to survive. How do you interpret it?
