On this outcrop from the beach of Muruwai on the west coast of New Zealand fisherman flock to catch snapper which (somehow) swim within the waters of incoming waves. the sun was starting to set and (at the right angle) produced colourful reflections in the puddles from the crashing waves. After wiping my lens and picking myself up from the impact of one of these waves, I asked the fisherman who had remained upright, if I could take some photos of him. I captured this photograph as he was changing his bait ready for the next cast.
